    Hammocking Indoors

So a buddy of mine just bought a grand trunk double with the ropes to setup an indoor hammock ing man cave. How would you folks recommend I attach the suspension to the walls. This will be a mostly permanent hang spot, so some changes to the wall and drywall repair are not a big deal.

    Cheers!

I would dig around alittle, I think this topic was addressed in a previous thread. It might have even been in this section too...Flip through a few pages or use that search tool and you should be able to find it.

Here is two threads I found just now..

I have used a large hook screwed in to the 2X4 and slept there for many months when I was a single young man. I even had a young lady join me a few times and we really put it to the test. No problem.

I have I-bolts in the center of the wall studs in a couple of my rooms.
I use a stud finder and locate the center of the studs. Then I pre drill and screw the I-bolts all the way flush with the wall. I sleep in my hammocks 3-4days a week and never had any issues.

I prefer to use a stand. It's a lot easier to move a stand should you decide that the hammock would look cooler on the other side of the room, or that you want to install a second hammock, or that you'd like to hang on the porch because the weather is really nice.
