    Welcome from Gainesville!

Here's a link to the 3rd Annual Hang mentioned by olddog above: http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=55735. It's not to be missed; I've never eaten so well at any gathering, ever. And the folks you meet there are as nice as they come.

If you're still in the area in early November (might not be the best time, considering your move, but...), there's a group hang planned for Lake Wales State Forest. The planning thread is here.

    Welcome to the madness!

yeah, the everglades were fun. Don't bring boots. Just Tivas or crocks. Hows Eglin?

Buck Lakes awesome! Used to go there a lot before you had to reserve it. Did a solo from Alexander to Juniper a few weeks ago. had to stop there for a little. The November hang looks fun. Probably can't make that one tho. Might have to come back for the 3rd.

Please do, guaranteed tons of fun and pounds of eats! Not to forget one of the most devirsified group of hangers you will ever meet.
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.

Alexander to Juniper in one go? Nice mileage. Also nice to hear that someone else is crazy enough to hike down here in the summer. Those banana spiders are fun from March to October, aren't they?

Hope to see you at the Third Annual!

I was just thinking that deeder and FLRider would make a great hiking pair for summertime in Florida, since they are the only two brave enough to leave the air-conditioning.

Overnighter. Sometimes you gotta say f it and get out of the concrete jungle. Those darn things are always out there. just gotta pay attention and wear glasses. And an instant ice pack or 2 help.
