    Welcome!

When you get to Nashville I highly recommend Savage Gulf. Only a litttle over two hours SE of Nashville and well worth the trip...especially if you like to hike! Has nice primitive camping areas...but you have to go to them . Spent the weekend there two weeks ago with my son. Great views!

I did a short section of the FT in the Blackwater SF this past week, and it was a beautiful stretch.

I can't wait to go back.

Did almost the same thing last August. Clearwater Lake to Pat's Island in two nights. Beautiful area, and nobody on the trail in the heat. It was a lot of fun, minus straightening up from under a deadfall to find one of the suckers on the brim of my hat, four inches from my eyes!

    Talk about an adrenalin response...

HAHAHA. A medic Instant ice pack or 2 help. BUT as much as the heat sucks all forms of life out of you, some times you have to say farm it and get out of the concrete jungle.
