May I remind the BSFRHH Chairman that we'll also need a headcount for the Thursday night basecamp campsite / reservation as well as permits (hallpass) for the backcountry. Perhaps I should send you the 1,473 page manual I used last year.

And don't forget your percolator - that came in handy on that nippy first morning.

I have already looked into permits and plans to do a thursday arrival headcount for the campground. I am doing all I can to follow in your mighty footsteps my friend Anything you can point out I am forgetting is greatly appreciated, and as to the percolator, I already started my gear box for this trip and it is currently residing in it

The perculator was a friend indeed.
    Maybe a pancake breakfast?
I just re-watched lasts years vid....that scene where there is a fire in the rock alcove was something else...just a great trip altogether. Fingers crossed for weather just like that.
For noobs thinking of a first group hang, though this is a hike-n-hang the miles aren't big...I dont think we have a day over 8 miles so opportunity for someone to bring a saw since we haven't heard from Joey and maybe a small axe unless Hangnout is bringing the Cold Steel knife.
These last few hangs are precious. I won't be taking this one for granted.

We wont be looking at even 8 miles a day by my reckoning. An easy hike for noobs. The last few hangs thing sounds all final though MM. You planning to abandon us?

Thanks Spamski, you're taking good care of us. And as MM mentioned, a pancake breakfast would put the BSFRHH over the top. And that's the second reference to "mighty footsteps" - a PC description of size 13 clodhoppers I guess.

Yes, BSF is much kinder and gentler to hike when compared to the Smokies. Hope to have a good turn out for this outing.

I am all for a pancake breakfast. Eggs and bacon/sausage are even better. If that big camp stove is coming along for base camp then I say we eat well to start the trip

Sign me up to bring eggs, sausage, bacon.
Might be nice to have a big tarp stowed in a vehicle in case it's raining the morning
we take off, can go back in the car after the breakfast extravaganza. How would
we do bisquits in that setting? I'll even bring jelly.
    I'll tell you guys I'm really excited to see the huge bluff shelters on that side of the park;
even tempted to bring a real camera with a better chance of getting a decent picture
    of them.
Fingers crossed 2Sticks and Rayne decide to join us. This would be a great hike
for kids too since the miles are not so bad.
Please tell me again how many creek crossings so I can plan accordingly. Maybe Roche
could pack one of those bridges the army uses in his ginermous backpack.
Since this is a group hang it would also be a great place for noobies to see different setups.

I'll need to move it from the Cub Scout pile to the lollygag pile. We could put on a big morning feedbag and eventually hit the trail by noon.

Good idea MM. I forgot about the problems we had last year. Here is a 98 second clip from last year's hike that you omitted from your video.

Dutch oven biscuits? Probably need a dutch oven though. Bake them in foil maybe?
