    I can't believe....

My local Hope Depot does not carry reflectix! What a shame. The guy didn't even know what it was.Oh well. Guess ill have to drive 45 minutes to get some.

I did find some stuff that is similar to the reflectix but instead of the bubble wrap, it has rubber or a rubber like material sandwiched between the foil. Has anyone tried that stuff?

Just thought I'd throw my frustrations out there.

Pretty similar to my situation. Their website claims my store has it on hand, but when I look for it i can't find it, and no employee seems familiar with it.

Hey, try finding stuff in an Austrian hardware store. They don't carry any of my brands!

Thinking about buying a car sun visor and chopping that up. But it would be nice to just have a role of it on hand.

I went to my local home depot and they searched for it and found it in the next nearest store. I was looking where you were in the plumbing and ductwork area, but when I went to the store that had it they had it with the fiberglass insulation. The stuff that you saw was really heavy and was sticky backed so it wouldn't work for sliding the pot in and out of. +1 on the sun shade if you can't find it.

I've found it at both Lowe's and Home Depot, typically near the insulation and ductwork areas. Gutter spikes are usually no more than an aisle over as well so you can pick up some cheap stakes while you're at it.

The Plumbing section has the carbon felt used for wicks on stoves (and even wind screens by some), and nifty parts to make your own lightsaber hilt.

The paint section has fiberglass cloth also used for stove wicks. Don't forget to pick up a spary can of Grill/High Heat paint for your DIY wood burning stoves and 4mil plastic drop cloth is good for prototyping that new DIY tarp you've been thinking about making.

And of course the gardening section outdoors has hardware cloth for making pot stands out of.

You know I suddenly feel like I spend too much time in hardware stores, and I didn't even include the supplies I buy there for other geeky hobbies of mine.

In the eu it's a different brand. Try looking for 'thermawrap'
