Trouble wrapping my quilt under my BB

anyone besides me have trouble keeping underquilts centered under their BB's? Unless I dont pull out the shelf, the shelf forces my quilts to slide to my left preventing my backside from being totally covered. Any tips/ideas would be appreciated.. thanx

When I have quilt issues with the BBs, it is always the same issue; the shock cord at the foot-end isn't above the foot-pocket. I've never had any problems with the shelf pushing it down. In fact, when it's too warm for the UQ I push it up into the space between hammock and shelf. Really quick and easy to reset that way.

It takes just a little practice to tame wayward under quilts, but you will accomplish this and never worry again.

There are several "devises" that can help.
1. Triangle thingies
2. Dutch quilt hooks (several varieties)
3. Throwing a shockcord over the ridgeline connecting the quilt corners.

When I have such an issue, I use a piece of bungee string in the middle of the hammock . Attach to each side and have the middle over your ridge line. If you need to tighten just attach a cord lock ! Shug has a great video on it !

Sorry I meant to say that I attach the bungee string in the middle of the quilt not the hammock!

the edge of any qunderquilt should be well below the shelf, if a quilt is migrating one way or the other i don't think it could be the shelf causing it to happen.

Quilts pulling to the side can also be caused by the quilts suspension being to tight. I have seen this sometimes in my own use, as little tension as possible to hold the quilt to you is better than cranked down tight.

I agree, I think what to do is make the UQ snug and not tight, there is a difference. The worst UC problem I've had, with a WBBB,has been having the UQ slip off of the footbox. Pan from JRB told me to sew a large button on the seam and put it through the loop of the UQ.

I had the same thing happen to me until i did this with my UQ
tighen the shock cord on the left side near your shoulder, loosen it on the right.. then down at your feet- loosen the shock cord on left, tighten it on the right where the foot box is...
