    New from SE Idaho

Hey everyone. New hanger from SE Idaho. I live in Idaho Falls, and love backpacking. I really like backpacking light, and getting into light and comfy. I really enjoy looking at, and trying new gear. Hammocks jumped on my radar and I really really wanted one. So I made one, and it was a crowd favorite at my house.

Everyone wanted one. So we made 5 hammocks over one weekend and spent a lot of time playing in and sleeping in them.

As you can see we have the red(both me and the wife) purple for our doughter, green for the little guy and blue for the middle son. (he is a backpacking machine....pulled off 19 miles in 4 days.

Vid of our trip if you want to watch

We then hung a sheet from the house and set up a projector and watched movies from our hammocks and slept the night away. Dang FUN!!

If any of you live in Idaho Falls area I would love to hook up with some backpackers that like to hang.

Welcome from the other end of Southern ID. In just a couple weeks I am hosting the 3rd annual Idaho Hang in the Sawtooths. Fingers crossed they get the fires under control and some of the smoke clears out. Would be cool to have you join the group if you can.

Haha...I know. This trip actually spurred the Hammock thinking. We really struggled to find flat ground. When we did we were by the stream and the condensation just killed us in the tent.

There will be fishing for sure no mater what. Due to some of the fires up there we may be shuffling around a little on the final spot. HWY21 has been closed off and on and the smoke is very bad in some parts of the valley. I have a couple of possible 2nd, 3rd,....type choices that will probably be made the week of the hang. But we will be doing some good hiking and some fishing and hang in our hammocks. That much is for sure.
