Potluck on Saturday? Any suggestions / themes? I can bring a large grill for the fire pit it you don't have one, I am thinking stakes are sounding real good. Teegs, also volunteered(?) steaks, do we have a actual head count yet?

Possible List of participants (Please Confirm or Decline) Oh yea, and do you like stakes? Other Food Ideas?

I just got back from up there and I will be doing some more cleanup Friday afternoon, but I got a lot done. I cut almost everything dead down in the section and stacked it off to the side. Unburried many logs so there are no secret voids anymore! I also plan on finishing the fire pit soon as I get back up there.

There is room for a few ground tents if the need arises. Now time to clean and resharpen my chainsaw. People that want to help cause they think its "fun" are more than welcome to bring whatever and make there own perfect hammock spot. I do recommend boots/hiking shoes, and a sweater cause it gets down into the 40's at night. As far as I can tell there were no mosquito's. I'm going to try and put a HF sign on 209 so the night time people can spot the turn a bit easier... Maybe some glow sticks.

To make directions easier for MOST drivers.
Take your best route to HWY 12 West

Follow Hwy 12 West till your in Aberdeen and it becomes 101N

Follow the signs and stay on 101N through Aberdeen and Hoquiam.
(You will see 2 signs saying 109 don't take them, unless you really like driving down the coast and going slow) Stay on 101N

    You will see this sign

    And turn here

Follow that road for 20 miles till you hit a stop sign

Take a Right on 109 and drive 3 miles to mile marker 32

Notice the car.. that is the turn off.
Gate will be unlocked just open it and drive in.
Take the 2nd right and go down the hill, property is on the right.

Me and the lady are coming out Friday. Leaving my place in Kirkland around 4pm - or earlier if possible.

What do I need to bring? I saw someone bringing potatoes, and looked like someone else had steaks?

Of course I'll bring beer. But is there anything else needed? I don't have a grill or anything, otherwise I'd bring breakfast supplies... OR I can bring some, as long as there's someone else to cook em.

Thinking aloud, maybe I'll try bacon wrapped steaks in my grill cage over the fire in the morning. Sound good?

Im not worried about what people bring, over planning just makes to much food. Bring what you would bring and it will just work itself out Some of the best "potlucks" I have had have just been people taking there normal meals and sharing.. No need to stress over it. The local small store is pretty well equipped with beer and stuff. Im going to pack coffee, cause I love coffee.... I can pack a dutch oven if needed.

Just trying to figure out when to expect people to I can contain my pup till she meets you. looks like I will be busy raking and moving about 1200 lbs of blocks around, while doing some final prep to make site as usable as possible. Its a bit rustic but its coming along

Well if some one wants to "hint hint" they could also bring steaks. I will have a cooler for the steaks and other stuff. And of course some bear and breakfast.

But with about 10 to 13 people, I could use some help on steaks, I'm just a working stiff! Planing on bring about 6 or so stakes. Maybe a few more depending on what on sell.

Just let me know, if you happen to bring a few, I just want to make sure we are not short. It's the least I can do for letting me join up and try a few Hammocks out.

I'll have a big bag of taters, a couple steaks and a cast iron skillet. Do I need to bring my little double burner propane stove as well?
