    WM matches REDDEN

West Marine will match the prices redden has listed on their website. I have been trolling for a few weeks on HF; after looking for the best possible price on AMSTEEL, I'm surprised this isn't a more popular option....

I am an instant-gratification type of person, as I'm sure many others on here are as well. If you want Redden prices, without the shipping or the waiting, go to West Marine with a printout of Redden's prices and get it immediately!!!!

Slight catch, you need to go to a 'sailing' specialty WM, so if you live in Michigan, you'll have to make the trip out to Muskegon.

I figured I would make my first post helpful.

    Happy hanging,

    Joey

Good to hear, my local WM doesn't stock amsteel, but ship to store is free!

Don't forget Redden gives HF members a 5% discount and it's always been my experience that they beam your package to you (ala Star Trek) so wait time is minimal.

They win my business on customer service!

I go to Redden Marine because they are only a couple miles from my work. I'd go to WM if they were 5 minutes farther away.

    Smile Redden Marine for me

I purchase my AmSteel from RM because they offer all color selections, whereas WM only has silver/grey.

Also, RM carries Zing It or Lash It, which are unavailable at WM.

For the record; I just ordered from Redden because the 6.50 for shipping and 40 cents more I paid for the product is worth it to avoid the 2.5 hour Round-trip.... The convenience side of me beat out the instant-gratification side this time.

First AMSTEEL order is 100' silver 7/64 and 30' 1/8 silver.... time to start bustin' out slings and shackles!
