    Kifaru mega tarp

Was looking for a reasonably priced tarp for an upcoming hang and one of the guys in my squad pointed me to this site. Was wondering if anyone had tried any of this gear?

Whoa, a bit expensive. You can get a WB Superfly on sale right now. The SuperFly is a great tarp.

I see your point for all intents and purposes that does seem to be a much better deal. Thanks for the heads up.

Kifaru makes very high quality stuff. I have an 8-man tipi style tent and two of their stoves.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

    They are very pricey though...

Be sure to check out Wilderness Logics, Tadpole. Great tarp, great reviews, great company, cant say enough good things about it. Check the boards, lots of comments.

Does that one have doors on both sides? I've been wanting to try hanging a hammock up in a tipi with a nice wood stove.

You mean the Kifaru tipi? Yes. I totally misremembered that they do have two doors. (I't's hppyfngrl's tipi and I don't use it...)

    You need a Winter Smokehouse!

I had looked at those, but I just don't think it would be stable enough for the windy places I had in mind for Winter. That's why I was thinking of a tipi instead.
Titanium Goat makes one very close to what I had in mind, but I'd need them to move the stove pipe opening more to the side in order to make room for the hammock.

They shouldn't have any issue with doing that. I've bought stuff from TiGoat before and they are very helpful.

It's pretty easy to put a stove boot in one yourself too if you can find a tipi that could be modded. I've done it. Might be a lot cheaper for you.
