If law enforcement or local SAR did not want to use resources. I'm sure there are other volunteer SAR/CERT type groups that would have responded. instead of PD ignoring - they could have offered these other resources. I'd be shocked if there aren't volunteer trained groups in that area

What I find truly unfathomable, is, if the guy found it too hard to carry Missy down the mountain alone, why didn't he summon help the second he encountered human assistance on the way down?
There is absolutely no excuse for that. According to reports, she was up there for days and that cretin said nothing about abandoning his poor pet.
He's only interested because he got busted and the poor girl didn't die. I really hope she doesn't end up back with him.
