At this point we could have a group hang, if anyone has any ideas please comment. Friday We recieved our package for the Stinging Fork Trail adoption, looking forward to that trip so we can get that trail back in shape. Its 3.2 miles and we are going to adopt part of the Piney River Trail as well, its 10 miles and both are close to our campground or should I say campair. Thanks for your comments and the most generous help from Xtrekker and SPaCmn.

Your doing great. Keep it up. Next spring, if your up for it, me and my wife will head over there and spend few nights and maybe car pool with few other local hammockers from our area. This will make a great group hang location. I will draw up few more versions of "Necessaries" for ya if you want. Maybe make a few smaller versions that will use less materials to cut down on cost.

    More progress

The last four days in our part of Tenn. was VERY rainy, but Lunchbox and I managed to get some more done. We got the first 300ft of the walkin trail (pic 1) trimmed, and the last part of the main fire spot campground cleaned.(pic 2)all this is taking place in the NW part of the property. Now you can come to our dead end 1 mile driveway to a graveled parking area thats well lit. The beginning of the trail is here and travels down 300ft to main fire spot campground. We will be working on the trail and many more camping spots next along the creek down the western side of the property which leads to a very nice area in the SW corner. Here the creek turns and heads east all the way across the back of the property. I will be hiking Devils Racetrack Trail this week and now that we have adopted Stinging Fork Trail we will be hiking it as well to make a report for sign and trail repairs and wont make much more progress till two weekends from now. Thanks for the comment, Plz leave us yours.

I voted no. The reason is we are trying to educate the tenters that there is an alternative way to camp. Just offering them a complimentery hammock is a good idea but hard core tenters can be a little slow at trying new ways. If they were set up next to a hammocker they would see every morning why people hang.

Thank you for your input, I respectfully disagree. Our H.O.C. would just be a place to"exclusively" enjoy our hobby, much like this site.

,but even the hammock hangs that are put together on HF do not shun tenters. i have only been to a handful, but hope all others allow and welcome tenters. we try not to "exclude" people. just my thoughts. KK

Thank you again KK for your imput, this is what I invite. This is how we are going to make the best decisions. Our intent is to provide the best place and experience for our hobby. I have read this forum for months and have seen words like t**t and ground dwerller and many others. To some this may already imply "shunning or the intent to exclude. (1)When it comes to hangs planned on this forum, they are planned at "public places" meant for all types of camping. from what I have read this is where the complaints come from.(2) On this site there are vendors that with the exception of some universal items, are made exclusively for hammock camping, we are no more trying to exclude or shun tent camping no more than they are. ONLY offering items, places and conversion for hammocks only. AGAIN Thank You so much for your opinion and plz everyone keep them coming. I will say again, our H.O.C. is not about NO tents its about hammock only.
