    I can vouch for that, I did the 1st monster in Inverness a couple of years ago and skin so soft was the only thing to stop the midges biting! I bought it from some ex royal marines who swear by the stuff! If they use it, it must be good!

    Pleasure meeting you Dutch. Titanium, Cuben, hammocks and great company is a good recipe for an enjoyable trip.

    I stayed on for a couple more days and got the very worst of the midges.
    There was no respite. No wind at all, even on the peaks!

    The good weather stayed too, not sure how you did that.

    Anyway, as Shewie says, there's always a place for HF'rs round the campfire, especially if they bring their own good weather

    That is the right way to travel. Thank you for sharing it. I love the trip reports on this forum. BTW Avon Skin So Soft worked well for keeping the midges off our construction crew one summer.
