    Newly minted Pennsyltucky Hanger

    Hey HF Folks,

I'm Justin and live in south central PA. I just thru-hiked the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail with a borrowed HH Expedition. Overall it was a great experience and can't wait to do it again, in my own hammock!!

Welcome to the forums! Go to the DIY section and build your own hammock and tarp and underquilt and well, and so on!
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

I've hiked a bit of that trail as well. My brother was living in Johnstown and we had a great time together.

Welcome from Portland, Oregon! My mom lives in Bedford, Pennsylvania and my sister in Indiana, PA. I hiked quite a lot in PA while I was in college - beautiful part of the world!

Welcome to the madness, from southern VA!

Since you aren't being too specific, I'm guessing you're in the neighborhood of State College or there-abouts ... ? I grew up in State College, then moved over the mountain to Huntington where I had a boat on Raystown Lake. A beautiful part of the country to enjoy the outdoors! I guarantee you my hammock will be coming with me on my next trip up to visit family....

Thanks for the HF Welcome. I live in the Lebanon, PA area but originally hail from Johnstown, PA. When I'm not backpacking, I am usually hiking & geocaching or kayaking. Sometimes I work as a facilitator/guide at the Hotel Hershey to support my outdoor activities. I've learned alot about hammocking from the forums. It's a great community!!
