I'm thinking of trying a whoopie structural ridgeline on my Claytor Jungle hasmmock. But I use straps through the channels, larked over descending rings, then a strap for the tree suspension, like this:

Can a whoopie be attached to this system to use as a structural ridgeline?
I tried looping the whoopie over the two loops in the channel straps but that't didn't seem to work. When the straps were tighten, it also tighten the ridgeline because it was connected to the channel loops which were connected to the rings which were connected to the tree straps.
Maybe the easier question first - how would I attache a structural ridgeline just straight amsteel, no whoopie at all? Or is it not possible with this setup?
I've watched a number of videos on the subject but none seem to address this setup.
