    heavy fog/drizzle & wind

Having just purchased a down UQ, what methods do you all use to keep the UQ dry when the conditions are very windy with 100% humidity (drizzle/fog).

With these type of conditions, everything gets very damp/wet or just plain saturated.

A well positioned tarp goes a long way, but this does not cut it for me.

Is there a peapod type of tarp available on the market that adds another layer of wind/moisture protection??

Vapor barrier made from silnylon ripstop... Just jeffs makes an all in one similar to this and quadruples as a ton of other things (pack cover, water bag, etc...), but this provides the most protection

    Scroll down, 4th product down...

2QZQ sells an UQ protector. Attaches like an UQ, light and fast.

I made my own weather-shield. (I would just get one from 2QZQ as they are well made and beautiful) Made of breathable DWR rip-stop. It helps in wet/foggy weather but many a time I did not have it with me and was in fog/cloud at the Linville Gorge and somehow my body heat kept my UQ dry.

    Uqp & uqp + yeti

I use the UQP (Under Quilt Protector) all the time.

Usually I hang it loose just to keep drafts & dirt off my WBBB.

Hung somewhat tighter and with the WB 3/4 summer YETI, it will also serve to absolutely eliminate the dreaded CBS.
