Ehhh, a little practice....
Speaking of the weather, it looks like it will be pretty hot. Might need a rope to climb out of the creek. Last time I was out there I couldn't find the bottom at the bank.
Thanks. It does, some. The real problem is that, in order to get someone to cover my shift, I need to ask ~1 to 1.5 months out from the date. I did that, and the guy who said he could cover me...well...he'd already told someone else that and didn't tell me 'till a week ago. At which point I started scrambling, but...
I 'preciate the invite, and the dates. I will make it down that way sooner or later, I promise. Even if it's only during high summer on a Sunday-Monday, I'll make it down there at some point.

Lot more water in the creek since last year, emcee. 2 and 1/2 days to go and I need to change a tube out on the Sherpa, gather some more groceries and pack the kit. Gonna be fun but will miss those unable to attend. Last year we had some last minute Canadian family join us. Who will be our suprise guest this year?
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.
We're making last minute preps and trying to sew another underquilt before the hang. Could someone re-post the directions to the camp site? I'm going around in circles trying to find the right link. I have directions to Rucks Dairy Road. We will prob roll in Friday afternoon.
MightyMouse has caught a mighty chest cold, we're hoping she can beat it down before the hang!

Ok, here is the latest list... anyone else? My back is much better but still too tweaked to hang around for an entire weekend out in the woods (which normally hurts my back anyway). I'll hike in on Friday and plan on being out there for both breakfasts and dinners and as much visiting as possible.
Attendees
samsara (on injured reserve) - DO liners, Texas Pete's Garlic hot sauce
Great white - Put me on the list for now. 6 onions
Olddog - DO, C.B. grits x2, cobblers x2
MAD777 - aluminum (gram weenie) Dutch Oven, 2 onions, 2 green peppers.
emcee - 1 bag charcoal, 4 contractor grade (3 mil) garbage bags, saw
Duffy & MightyMouse - 4 dozen eggs, 6 bell peppers
zukiguy (maybe and +1 maybe) - bag of charcoal
lilricky (aka "Lead Sherpa" aka "The Sherpanator" aka "Ricky Poppins" aka "Ricky Poppy") - just about everything else! (4 dozen eggs, sausage, cheese, tortillas, and salsa)
Tuck (+ a few?) - dessert plus charcoal
edo - firewood and DO
Shannan - firewood and Thai food!
O-Boy
charley (definite maybe)
Melissa and a few of her gang
Gone Native & Gameboy 2 packs of thick cut bacon
Vanguard firewood?
I think we're covered on the food front, if someone could take a look and make sure that we've got the fixin's covered I would appreciate it. Speak now or forever hold your peace
For anyone that is concerned about finding the place let me know soon and I'll give you a hand. You can also get in touch with olddog, emcee, MAD777, lilricky, and shannan since they know the place very well too. Maybe people can post estimated arrival times so that stragglers can group up for the hike in.
I'll be meeting those that show up at 11 and will walk in with them. If the only ones that arrive then are some of "the regulars" then I might wait for some people in the afternoon that might like a guided tour in
Tell MightyMouse to get better soon and finish her recovery out in the woods with some fresh air
