edit: I guess I can give you short and sweet directions too! Highway 60 out of Lake Wales towards Vero. When you see "Struthers Honey" on the right side of the road you will take a right shortly after to the south on Walk-in-Water road (there is a sign for Lake Kissimmee S.P. left). Go 3 miles or so and the campground is on your right.
I'll see you soon!

I was hoping I would be able to go but I cant cause I will be near Colorado springs that weekend to help my dad move some of our stuff out there. But i will try to go next time. Maybe we can get some smaller FL one - two nighters.
We'll save a spot for you
There will be at least one smaller trip closer to you (3rd annual FL Hike-n-Hang) and maybe another one or two out here (nothing planned... but I like to get out into the woods as much as possible while the weather is tolerable ). Just keep looking and I'm sure something else will come along.

Considering how much fun and good food that I had at FH3, count me in! Plus, I trying to recruit some others.
Maybe I shouldn't unpack from the Florida Hang and I'm ready to go!!

Ok, calling all sherpas! It's time to get some planning started and since it sounds like more and more people are coming we'll need to get some ballpark numbers started soon. So, please list if you are coming (how many) and what you are bringing (food, charcoal, or firewood... we need all three).
I'm pretty sure we'll need one more dutch oven so I'll see if we can talk MAD777 into bringing his aluminum DO. We probably won't need additional dutch ovens so it would be better to bring firewood or food instead of another DO.
I think we'll need 18-24 eggs per DO for MM breakfast (a MM expert can chime in here) plus an onion (or two) and pepper (or two) plus cheese and some sort of meat (sausage or bacon are the most common). Multiply that times 2 large DO's and times 2 again for Sat/Sun breakfast. Olddog will need to decide if he thinks we can cover the demand for his grits with his smaller DO or if we need to move up in size. We'll also need some cobbler fixins for each night.
I think 1 or 2 bags of charcoal should take care of us for the weekend. We'll need a fair bit of firewood but I'll also scout to see if there is much in the area that we can use... if so then we need a saw to cut it up too. I want to have plenty of fire the entire time we're out there.
I'll make another post next to start the attendee list. Please copy the list and add yourself so that we have a running total and know if we'll need more food/DOs. If I'm forgetting something please chime in.
