I am currently in the United States Air Force and i recently acquired a Harris Manufacturing Co. Jungle hammock. I really don't know anything about it other than I got it from a specops guy. Does anyone have experience with these hammocks? Thanks for the help!
I slept in a jungle hammocks for many years while in the army. with the mosquito netting mirrors no issue with bugs. There are so many better hammocks out there than the jungle hammock.
I always carry my own spreader poles since weight was generally not a huge issue if I was in a vehicle. If I was on foot I didn't carry it as we slept in holes.
I always got a good nights sleep in the jungle hammock. It was a bit more unstable than my current hammock which is a Hennessy.
