Donna and Tim come through again with fabulous fast service. Majorly accommodating to ensure the pockets made it in time for the Oregon winter hang. + a special item that is extremely well designed.
Thanks sound man and others for the tips and push to finally get this done! Super burly and bullet proof shelter, will hold up well in wind and saves 4 lines + stakes. And auto porch mode is a major bonus. My superfly is now complete.

I got to see Rip's SF in person last weekend and I'm sold. I just need to figure out when to have the mod done.
A detail question... How long of poles do you need when they do their mod* And what did you guys use fiber glass or aluminum? Reason why you used those? What kind of tips did you put on your poles?

I went with Aluminum. I think 2Q had said, you get 20% less weigh for 80% more in cost for the fiber glass.
When you add up the grams, the difference is not that big to justify the extra cost in my mind.
On the poles, everyone has a different tarp. So, I used 5 with inserts and one without. My tarp is 8 feet wide.
Hope that helps.

I apologize I guess when I reread the thread I missed that post... That's good to know that they send you the info that you need...
How does that 145* arch pack... Is it awkward to find a place for it to go? Since it is shorter then the rest and bent I figured it would throw things off pretty good, but you have first hand knowledge and I just have theory...

ok, question... i am ordering my superfly next friday, it is going straight from warbonnet to 2qzq for the pole mod... anyways what tips do you guys use on your poles... i am going ahead with the .344 aluminum, just trying to get all my ducks in a row before doing it all... i want to use the shock cord through the middle just for less fiddle factor so that leave the 4021 nylon end, 4038 longer looking aluminum end, and the 4030 shorter tips... anyone got any reason for one over the others...
