Thanks...I was wondering what that string was for.

I've only had a chance to try out my RR for a few minutes and had not tried a bridge hammock before. My first impression was very good.

Those same drip strings are also a handy tool for feeding the suspension lines through the tiny grommets on the spindrift sock.

Hm, and I was just planning to replace the grommets with bigger ones. Using drip strings sounds much less annoying

I'm one of those that like a ridgeline to hang my glasses and a light on. I suggest that future models have small attachment loops on the inside of the bug net where the support lines are sew on. That's all I have been able to find to nit-pick about. Very nice design!

only problem with that, is the netting is held up with shockcord, hanging something from it would weight it down, glasses perhaps not so much though

also, the cloudburst tarp has a ring underneath that you can attach the netting line to so it stays under the tarp and allows you to get a steeper angle on the shockcord for better upward pull. another option would be to attach to the end of your tarp, that should keep the shockcord covered as well

Understood...it's just that a light doesn't do much good in the pockets and scratched or broken glasses suck. The pockets will work well for just about everything else.

Perhaps it's operator error on my part. I can't seem to remove the suspension lines one at a time from that little triangle piece. Reason i was trying to remove the lines one at a time, is it seems to me it could be possible to install the Spindrift while the hammock is hanging. I think with practice it might be possible to install the hammock sock in the field in a few minutes.

Aside from no place to hang glasses or a light, i think there are situations one might want the door open on the Spindrift and the bug net deployed. It would be nice if there was a small fabric loop inside the hammock sock to hang the bug net.
