    Comfort Dilemma

I have a blackbird and a traveler and love both of them and think I sleep like a rock in them and I was thinking about upgrading to the XLC but noticed that many a youtubers that have used the XLC or blackbird and enjoyed them are saying a dream hammock and or chameleon are even more comfortable.

I cannot imagine something being more comfortable then the blackbird so I would like some more thoughts and opinions before I pull the trigger and try another brand…

    Thanks!

You can't go wrong with any of these three hammocks. I like my XLC as well as my Chameleon but my favorite backpacking hammock is my Warbonnet RidgerRunner. While it weighs a bit more than these other hammocks the comfort and visibility offset the cons. Plus the smaller bottom quite needed for the RR also offsets some of the weight gain.

When I find a piece of gear that I "LOVE", I don't mess with it. Going from a BB to an XLC ... fine. But why mess with what works for you?

Unless saving weight is of primary concern, then I would not change it up.

All said the Warbonnet hammocks were comfortable but the new one was even more comfortable, I have no idea what could be more comfortable...

I kinda think of hammocks kinda like hiking boots. It really varies and what works perfect for one person may not work for another.
If you find your comfort...embrace it and lollygag in it.

Ah come on. Everyone needs at least 4-6 hammocks so get one and try it. If it doesn't work out between you and the hammock then sell it and try another or keep it and try another. Everyone need a couple of spars for your friends.

Lots of great options out there from our cottage vendors here on HF. Go to a group hang and I'm sure you'll find something that works for you!

It's like the blackbird is already amazing and the XLC is suppose to be even more so and the popular youTubers went from XLC to dream hammock or dutch to something even better...it's difficult to believe that something can be three steps better and even more comfortable than my WBBB?!?!??!?!

I love my XLC and Eldorado from WB~~~~
Use them often especially in bug-season or when I want a really good back rest sitting sideways in my hammock.
