Either way, I've been convinced that this is the better hammock, and sent my PM to place an order. I'm already thinking about how I'm going to be able to make myself warm enough for mid-30 degree nights over the next month or so. I am thinking thermarest in the pad slot, old 40 degree synthetic bag used as an underquilt, and 15 degree mummy bag inside. That 'oughtta do

Did I mention I don't do much cold weather camping and generally hate it?
It is most likely cheaper than buying a Hennessy UL Backpacker from REI with that POS tarp and then buying a Macat. With the Warbonnet you don't get the POS tarp, that you didn't want but didn't know it yet, if you buy a Warbonnet/Macat setup your are supporting cutting-edge cottage industries IN THE USA, that's worth A LOT.

All good points. I'm going to stick with the cheaper hex tarp for now (no doors) and see how that works for me. I've already got some wacky ideas on how I plan to tweak everything to suit my needs. Now to get my girlfriend to spend a night in the hammock so I can convince her to get one, and we can ditch the 3-man tent we've been carrying....

    Attroll,

Have you tried laying on your stomach with this hammock?

No I never thought to try this yet. I was so comfortable on my back laying flat I never thought about it. I will try it later and get back to you.

I tend to toss and turn in my sleep, even in a hammock, so when I get mine, I will take a nice long nap (maube even spend the night) for science =). Im looking foward to the experience. Now if I can get my Littman stethscope in to play with that too.

I tried laying in it on my stomach tonight. I can not lay flat on my stomach like I can in my bed. So I guess the answer would be no.

I got weak ....... I ordered one........ black single with webbing ........ I ... feel.... elated! This will be my first non-DIY hammock and first with lines coming off the hammock ala HH style. Hoping that I really love it.
It just looks to ground-breaking and ground-hovering to resist.

All right I guess I will let the cat out of the bag. I have wanted one of the earlier models but since he came out with the blackbird I thought I would bite.

Yes Yes I am a very proud owner of 2 Clark hammocks but I really think that this is something I might like so I bought one. In fact I am not sure what I bought other than it's a blackbird I told WBG to fix me up with what he thought I needed and he did. I also got the tarp and UQ as well. And it arrived today and I am going to start taken it out and playing with it tomorrow. It's to wet outside to do it now.

Will let you know what I find out soon enough.

Thanks WBG for getting it to me and all the help you did for me.
