How long is your hammock and how long is the ridgeline?

+1 on knowing the length. It would make it a lot easier to help you out we knew the length.

Add some shock chord if you have it and hang on would be my suggestion.

Give us a call in the morning. We're happy to send you a different length, no charge. We should probably zero in on the issue first so we know what it needs. Thanks!

    There is a better way

But, a lot of people have found that over a variety of situations attaching at the end is not the best way to hang an underquilt, relying too much on tension in the lateral direction to be translated into snugging in the vertical.

I suggest you make your own "triangle thingie" which is not that possibly trademarked product. Search here for such and find it is a triangle of tied cords so that the Phoenix hangs from a point at least 1 foot and likely MORE feet from the end of the hammock, and certainly from points to the side of the centerline.

If it works well for Leighlo Underquilts, it will work well for you with a Phoenix. (I have both.)

Per above: Make a mock-up from a 5 foot length of cord tied into a loop. Start with 2 loops tied within the line, 1 foot apart and the third one 2 feet from each of the others.

(Or use hook paper clips or split rings through hollow cord rope tied into a continuous loop--this is just a mock-up. )

One loop goes to the hammock end; the other two loops drape across the ridgeline or directly across the gunwales at the end of your hammock and get clipped to the corners of the UQ.
