I bought my first hammock today.

After looking around at different options, I came home with a ENO singlenest hammock and some atlas straps from REI. I was leaning towards the Hennessy explorer, and I may end up getting one after a while. For my first hammock though I think the ENO will be great. I will have to try to set it up in the back yard and give it a test in the next few nights.

Thanks to all who helped me out so far!,
    Steven.

Sooner or later you will find the sweet spot in your hammock. And then you won't want to get out of it.

Be sure to use woody trunked trees! Palm and saguaros might not hold you up and let you down in a most uncomfortable way. Patio posts might be far enough apart, or carport supports. Or maybe Cave Creek is up by Flag and trees are no problem? Anyway, it turns out that hammocks are so comfortable I'm just about a full time indoor hammocker. er, if that's a word...

Have fun and enjoy and share what you discover with others!

Cave Creek is at the very north end of Phoenix, unfortunately to to many trees around here.

So you sleep in a hammock all the time? I asked if there was any one who did that and didn't get a response. I have trouble falling asleep because my mattress isn't very comfortable. What hammock do you use for inside?

I didn't get a rainfly, but I have a few tents and I think I can steal one from one them.

I've decided that hammocks are like Doritos....You can't just have one! Welcome.

I wonder how many relationships have been torn apart by the hammock addiction? I think it would be cheaper to develop a drug addiction.
