I never thought about plates on the vehicle, I am not sure what state plates will be on our rented vehicle. Do I just buy a Oregon Snow Park Pass. I assume my Pass for the BLM Parks will not work, it has to be a Snow Park Pass.

Anyone reading this know for sure what the situation is?

Ok so here is what the MT national Forest page says about Sno-Park passes.

"Sno*Park permits issued by Washington, California and Idaho are honored in Oregon, and Oregon permits are honored in those states. (However, if your vehicle has Washington plates, you must have a Washington permit to park in a winter recreation area in Washington.) Parking in an Oregon Sno*Park without a permit may result in a $30.00 fine, so be sure to obtain a permit and display it on your vehicle."

So it does seam that if your in Washington you can buy an Oregon pass it just wont work in Washington... That's how it sounds to me?
The reason this is being put up is the annual Oregon pass (All year) is only $20 and I believe in Washington its $40.

You can also get a 3 day here for like $7-$10

    Run Down: One Week Left

One week left figured I would give a rundown of requirements.

    January 18-20
    Frog Lake Campground Oregon
Current (1/11/2013) Snow Level at about the same elevation is 44 inches

    Must haves
Snow Park Pass Either Oregon or plate specific for northwest (DMV, BiMart, Etc...) If overnight your only options are annual (Oregon $20+fees, Washington $40) or 3 day ($7+fees) passes
    Frog Lake Camp(GPS 45.2225, -121.69222)
    Directions from Portland http://goo.gl/maps/oMH2Y
    Directions from Hood River http://goo.gl/maps/kYgbg
    Directions from Bend http://goo.gl/maps/Ps7dZ
Required Bring Traction tires or chains
    Check ODOT Website http://www.tripcheck.com/Pages/RCmap...RoadConditions
Weather (for government camp, Oregon) http://www.weather.com/weather/today...mp+OR+USOR0144
Your Own gear (Some people have offered loaner equipment, make sure you have contacted them and made proper arrangements)

    Please Bring (if you can)
Firewood (don't worry about transport to campsite, plenty with pulks to help with that)
White Elephant Gift (Prefer outdoorsy stuff, but anything will do)

    Directions from Lot
Walk basically directly east, there is a road that does a circle around the campground. Your first turn is going to be a right after that you can go left or right. Generally we will congregate near the restrooms there is one near the front and two near the back.

Anything else please feel free to adjust.

Yea, and the weather here (Puget Sound), snow possible tomorrow and very cold temps thru mid-week (20s). Might be a bit cold and new snow for next weekend!

Sweet. Thnx guys. I will probably rock a DIY winter tarp, 20 degree Golite TQ, 20 degree incubator... I am batting around doubling up with the flight jacket (45ish deg.) i won at summer hang, and a 30degree jarbidge UQ

i dont have a UQP, but the doors totally close.

getting Psyched, just figured out my winter clothing layers today. Had stuff all over the living room when the wife got home

Exact same thing here. All my gear is spread out in the family room. Wife said, "You have too much stuff!" (although she used a different s word in place of "stuff")
