Well regarding food: if folks are going to bring things then I'll bring my famous baked beans in an iron skillet. Well...famous in my family circle anyways. I don't have a dutch oven but I guess we can figure out a way with the skillet. Beans should make the circle around the fire interesting

I can bring a grate for over the fire cooking. That would go good with a cast iron skillet.

I always seem to over pack...bring stuff I never use. I'm trying to break out of that habit.

On more sober retrospect I am not going to bring the grate, its too heavy and big and i am already going to be making at least 2 trips to the car.

    Only 2? LOL
It will only take me one trip to bring my gear in. And who knows how many for firewood.
I am really happy I am not loading all the pulks in my room at the moment... But boy could I haul in some gear!

I often use my snowshoes and tails to stake out the corners.
I also use my regualr stakes and just pack it down with my foot.

I have made some stakes out of a home depot bucket. However you can use y stakes and bury them sideways and tamp down the snow.
