    hmmm I have never sealed a tarp before. I guess I need to look into whats involved before I commit.

    the tarp itself is silnylon there is no sealing it, are you talking about the edges?

    I have a Maccat and can vouch for it's quality. No need to seam seal as the only part that could leak is the ridgeline,which is the highest point (and therefore the water will run downhill). Never had any issues with mine.

    I was talking about the ridge line. Depending on how the seam is made at the top it could drip. It is also listed as an option on the site, so I was just wondering if it was truly optional or necessary to stay dry.

    Every MacCat I have put doors on has the ridgeline already seam sealed by OES. Correct me if I am wrong...but I think that is standard with MacCats. ZQ
