    My First DIY Project

Here's my first DIY project that I completed this weekend. It's an IX UQ using the plans off DIYgearsupply. I'm going to call it The Medusa, because you're better off if you don't look at it directly...

Overall I'm pretty happy with it thanks to the grosgrain hiding most of my mistakes. I'm thinking of trying to tackle a down TQ next, but I'm not sure if I have it in me.

Your UQ looks good. Take what you learned sewing this one and go for the down. You'll end up with one for all temperature ranges.

Looks a lot better than the first one I made. Don't worry- it only gets easier from here on out.
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

It looks great. My DIY projects have not panned out quite that well. I would love to really put my nose to the grind stone and get the hang of sewing... maybe one of these days. Anyway, Looks great!
