Been using webing for years. I like the singleness of the setup. Nothing to leave behind and versital. However I will be a woopie maker very soon. One; making woopies looks like fun. Two; I like the simple solution. Three; maybe then I will quit stealing my webing from my hammock every time I get in a jam.

Once a webhanger always a webhanger. Webing will always be in my pack. Besides you can hang from other places not just a hammock. However woopie hanger does have a certain something I like.

Besides the name has duplicity that maybe I'll share in another thread sometime.
I have only used Woopie (or is it Whoopie?) slings on my GTUL, mostly because it was the easiest (and cheapest) way to change out the stock suspension. I like them a lot, but i also hope to order a WBBB soon and also see the advantages to the suspension types on those hammocks as well.
I truly thinks it's a matter of personal opinion.....

Whoopies! They are simple to learn and dont take up much space at all
As I still use webbing, I also feel whoopie slings are cool
Like X trekker stated webbing is easyer and faster for me
And didn't fallow the sheeple craze of the whoopie sling
But what do I know I still use Slap straps and like them too lol

When I gave a presentation this past weekend I started with tri-glides. Next was the carabiner. Then ring buckles. I ended with whoopies. This seems to be a natural progression towards simplicity. Everybody was amazed with how much faster I could adjust the hammock in the end.

I have been using the cinch buckle webbing from arrowhead and really enjoy that setup but I will be ordering some amsteel to give some woopies a try.
