    Off for the Long Trail

After missing last year due to the new shop buildout, Just Mike and I are heading off for the middle third of the Long Trail on Friday. Eight glorious days of walking and hammocking from Rutland to Jonesville, just past Camel's Hump. I'll be rigging the WBBB one last time this afternoon to test things out, and Mike's traded his HH for a WBBB as well. Just weighed in--my pack is 20 pounds without food and water, so I expect to come in at 25-27 fully loaded, and we'll be eating well. Bringing chocolate, of course! It's raining today, but next week's weather in the Green Mountains is supposed to be sunny and pleasant.

    Happy Hangin!

Have fun out their and say hi to the trail for me. Their is something majestic about the LT
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.
