Yesterday I was out at my local state forest for a trike ride, and I wanted to install Dutch's nifty little mini side-lock device on my WBBB's pillow leash. So after the ride, I figured I needed to test-nap the pillow setup.
My WBBB is equipped with cinch buckles & straps, and I normally verify that the Amsteel loop is riding properly within the pointy end of the buckle. But I was tired and failed to check.
As I sat in the hammock I was greeted with a "POP" noise and a sudden drop in altitude of about an inch. One of the buckles had self-adjusted. No damage done. Lesson learned. Nap uneventful following that incident. All is well.
