Yes,,it does sound right. The hammock I threw on there,,was full 11' long with one inch rolled hem on each end, and just tied with amsteel thru hem then half hitched around the ends, with loop of whoopie larksheaded around it, so its almost full lenght. The material was 58" wide from source then half in hems on the sides, and I knotty modded the head and foot end with 3/32 shock chord for about 2ft. All I did was grab it and throw it on and wrap the whoopies around the RL of the bridge hammock loosely pulling the hammock around the bridge to see if it fit. And I had a 50 degree Jarbridge on, and in checking under it, There's ample room for my 20 degree down with 2 oz of overstuffing full length quilt to fit between nicely..Just so happened that my dutch quilt hooks were attached to gathered end hammock and attached perfect as well to where I had the new Dutch Quilt Clips attached to the bridge with them being tied on the rings with small nylon chord. In keeping your costs down. I don't see how you would make a UQP same shape as a bridge hammock with the curved ends sewn in,,and keep your costs of the item relatively the same as your other UQP's that you sell now. And keep it down in weight for packing as well. Bridge Hammock backpackers are already packing alot more weight than the gathered end backpackers due to weight of bridge hammocks unless they are DIY'ed by lighter materials than the mfters are using. If I knew how to sew,,I would definitely be expermenting with Momentum materials in making a super light weight bridge hammock..and its tempting me now.

I make the UQP's in 1.1 calandered breadthable ripstop, or 1.1 silnylon. The breathable weighs approx 6.5 ounces. Adding a few tabs will me nothing in weight. As soon as I know where to put the tabs to attach the UQP to the bridge, I can get you and Fallkniven one to try. I will PM with details.

I know Acer has the UL bridge but are the dimensions the same as the regular bridge by JRB? If so I might be interested in getting one for Hamhocker

OK all...I just had a nice phone conversation with Acer. I now understand where he was with his measurements. I was on a different trail!! For the bridge UQP, I will need to find out the length and width of the hammock, and place the tabs accordingly. If the hammock is a DIY and longer, I might need to adjust the length of the UQP and tab placements.
Ewker...I don't know the answer to your question. Can someone answer that? Maybe the answer in on the Jack's website. I will check, and post an answer.

I looked at the Jack's website. I couldn't find any dimensions...but it doesn't look like the sizes are different. Therefore if the UQP fits the UL, it should fit the regular. I will be making one for Acer, and maybe Fallkniven. As per our conversation...Acer will try it out and let all interested know how it fits. We will then feel comfortable offering it on our website. Ewker, we will let you know when ready. ZQ

Not sure myself,,but this much I do know,,the UL is 4 inches less depth than the BMBH, as everybody mentions they like being able to see out the sides better..and its one less panel of material as there is no pad pocket making it 8-9 oz lighter. Someone hopefully today will help out and chime in. The same spreader bars are used for both bridge hammocks,,so I am thinking they are same size with the exception of more material used,,in the body width on sides,,4 inches more to create a deeper hammock to lay in??? length is same I am thinking.

Hey 2Q,
Would you ever make a breathable sock that would fit a bridge like the BMBH?
