I'll try and remember to measure when I get home.

According to my measurements, the side tie outs are 5'8" apart. Hope that helps.

    nothin for nothin

but I noticed that my Tadpole did not leak ( no sealant added) when I had it setup with the correct side of the seam on top. Other than noticing the WL logo, it is easy to pitch this tarp upside down. That was my easy fix for not paying attention to detail.

I've not had any leaking issues. I've only been through 2 good rain storms, but not a drop came in on me.

i don't think a WL ridge seam leak is impossible but it maybe improbable.
a little sealer wont hurt though.

I have a WL Tadpole and like it. That being said it did leak my 1st night out. THAT being said, I believe it was operator error.

You'll see that the tarp seam is overlapped. If you pull 1 side of the tarp tighter than the other (which you basically always will a bit) then it will pull the seam to one side or the other. If you do it right the seam will look like a shingle with the top on top and the bottom on bottom. If you do it wrong (what I did) you will see it creates a lip with the bottom (of the seam) on top (higher) and the top (of th seam) on bottom (low). This lip will catch water and eventually a few drops will make it through.

I decided to seam seal mine but I don't think it would leak if setup properly. If you do decide to seam seal it, make sure you buy seam sealer designed for SilNylon (like this http://www.mcnett.com/SilNet-Silicon...aler-P143.aspx) and NOT a sealer designed for Urethane coatings (like this http://www.mcnett.com/Seam-Grip-P133.aspx).
