I realize this is an old thread, but ..me and MightyMouse are moving to Pensacola. I would sure like to hang out with some of you Panhandle folks one of these days!

    I'm in.

I'm moving BACK to Pensacola at the end of the month and will be there until July. We should set something up.

Absolutely! Need suggestions on where to hang. Blackwater River SF, for sure, but...it's mighty big!

I'd like to go to some of the natural springs. Or maybe somewhere near the Florida caverns. Those are cool places to visit.

With enough advance notice and planning Timberrr and I might be able to make one of these if it's a paddle trip. We have not kayaked farther north than the Sante Fe river but have wanted to for some time.

You guys are lucky to have Duffy and Mighty Mouse in your neck of the woods, they are good people.

Thanks Gumbo, likewise! This Blackwater River is ripe for kayaking. I have a feeling lots of people are on the river in the summer...well marked put in/take outs, several rental places available. It is a beautiful river from what I've seen. And you can camp anywhere! Definitely more kayaking in my future!!

That's actually a good idea. Tubing/kayaking the blackwater river is a blast.
