I am Shug and must say that I am a bit humbled by this)))))) Thanks. Wow.
The videos are my fun and a bit of my over-acting indulgence. The hammock is a mighty fine muse. Most of what I have learned is by trial and error and of course on here and Just Jeff's site. Really I just regurgitate it all.

May do a knife throwing video. As to the juggling lessons...there are many on You Tube. Search "juggling 4 balls". I just toss in some juggling because I am a show-biz ham and like to infuse some fun into the.

Some aren't crazy 'bout my style but c'est la vie.....plenty of "just the facts" videos out there on hammocks and all things backpacking. As stated...sometimes I grow on folks. My show is the same way. Can never please everyone.

I am proud to be a part of these forums. Not a Facebooker I so this is my cyber-spot.

    Shug is the nan!!!!

    Whooooooo Budyyyyyyyy

Shug is the inspiration behind fun. If it was not for Shug, I would still be sleeping on the ground and my kids would not say "on the knot not the toggle" every time I hang their hammock.

it's a Shug life style for me.

    thx Shug :-)

Yep, he did it to me too. I've been Shug'ed

I found that first video and within a couple of minutes I was saying to myself, "What kind of clown is this". Well, one I throughly enjoy. And little did I know how right I was in my initial assessment. They're the most informative, enjoyable videos out there that I go back to time after time.

I like the idea of everyone doing their own impression of a Shug video

P.S. Thanks for keeping an eye on Sector Seven

I've been backpacking for over 30 years and hammock hanging for 13 years before I ever heard of Shug or saw one of his videos,.....so I can't say that he affected my hang.

However, I was intrigued by his creative process in making videos. It's an art form like any other.
As a former professional musician, I spent much of my life surrounded by artistic people, playing various venues, recording studios, pit orchestras, and being around "theater people." I recognized something familiar immediately,....and I know nothing of the circus business.

One of the things I liked most about his videos were the character impressions "Slingblade" (Carl Chandler),...and various accents,....French, Italian, Irish, Hispanic, Redneck/Hillbilly, etc.

Now,....I want you all to join me in encouraging him to adopt a new character. I already sent him a PM to suggest this. His reply said he would consider it. I remain convinced that he would do a fantastic rendition of ERNEST T. BASS.
    "It's me, it's me, it's Ernest T."
I think it would be hilarious if he went to a group hang and started throwing rocks at people. LOL

Shug, my grandpa taught me how to juggle when I was a kid, using potatoes from his garden and the back of the couch to teach me up not out when starting off. Begging is not beneath me. I think a Shug juggling vid would beat any I could find. Please, yeah I'm shameless some times. Thanks for all the great videos you have put out there this new hammocker thanks you.
