looking to make me a hammock need advice

yea im actually going to try to have my wife "who is no seamstress" to try and sew me a hammock looking at either the HH safari or another WBBB as i liked the one brandon made me. anyone have an idea if the HH clone on the DIY fourm is the same design as the safari?

also if anyone has any other designs for a netted hammock that a man of my stature would fit into please let me know.

also will a triple layer of 1.1 ripstop made into a hammock support a man of my stature. i know a double layer of 1.7 made into a wbbb from brandon did just fine and i know that if you add up the totals
1,1x3= 3.3
1.7x2= 3.4
is very close so what do yall think oh and im 6ft 400lbs

Stick with 1.7 or +. Thinner fabrics stretch and then the stress is catastrophic.

And since 2 layers of 1.7 already has been proven....why fix what ain't broken.

Any standard hammock pattern should work. Most times folks are using ~60" wide material for the main body. If you want it wider, there are options out there.
