I'm enjoying the NX-150 I bought from you, without complaint, thank you, and glad to have it for a companion, lending out the best bed at the camp site.
I don't think I had it too tight, this is my sixth or seventh hammock and feel I'm pretty good at finding the right hang. If anything, it might have been too loose. Obviously I was doing something wrong, but don't know what. In the five day hike I was on, I did have two nights where nothing broke. Plus, I've been doing this since about 1999 and have averaged about 500 miles a year, plus a AT, Long Trail and FNST through hike, without breaking any of my other hammocks. I do like my Clark Tropical, but would love to try out the Flex 180, but am afraid of the section poles it has, plus it's a little heavy for backpacking. I think maybe I have way too many hammocks.

Anyway, glad you are having good luck with it!

You never know when you may have to outfit a platoon of visiting Flemish Home Guard or something. I'd just call you almost fully prepared

I have noticed my clarks hang differently than others, they want a more vertical component on the support ropes. I didn't realize it till I got one of the newer that has the bungee setup so you get the "perfect" hang. I was actually a bit surprised, shortened my view of the optimal tree distance. So, food for thought.

Manchego, I thought it was only me, but it is easier to hang from two verticals than from a horizontal, again, at least for me.

That would be the upper limit, though I think that might be a bit too much. As I said, I've noticed it decreases my "optimal" tree spacing down at least a pace, if not a pace and a half. This isn't so big a deal as the fact that instead of eye level I have to go overhead, so if I'm a bit longer, it's a reach overhead.
