I just bought 100' for $10 including shipping, it was #1250 w/ the detectable wire. I emailed Neptco and asked if the strength rating would change if I pulled out the wire and wa told it had no effect on the rating. I pulled out the wire, a little bit of a pain. If you want the guys contact info send me a PM. He takes PayPal.

Make friends with your local commercial electrician. Lots of places only use this stuff once. They wad it up and toss the whole bundle in the dumpster when they're done. You'll need to run it through the wash once to get the lubricant out of the fibers (kind of slimy) but other than that it's like new. Good luck.

Think of it as flat cord. Most frequent use to "pull" cable through conduit. Hence "mule", haha.

It can be miles long, hence the common great strength and presence of lubrication. Strong polyester, so about 3 times the weight and bulk for same strength of Dyneema cord. But, inexpensive.

You can see that in common 1/2" size, a doubled strap of it could be very nice to replace tree straps, or as part of a strap-only suspension.
