    my DIY(sorta) pulk sled!

Well I finally got my pulk sled together! I had originally got the jet sled jr. last year and never got around to putting poles or skeg on it. So last week I ordered poles from skipulk.com and today I got to assemble it all! Using the Jet Sled Jr. I had to make custom brackets for the pole attachments. Also, I made two skegs on the bottom out of angle aluminum that are 9" long. Here is a pic with my new pup in it going to go give it a test now, so hopefully when I get back I will have more pictures

What did you use for poles and what did you do for support under the attachment points of them? Also what do you do with the ends of the poles, are they just straight and you hold them? My mil got me one last year to haul deer but never had snow when I got one just used as a sled with kids
    Thanks

The poles are from skipulk.com and come with ball joints on one end and an eye bolt on the other for connecting to a hip belt (which I took off my very old kelty external frame pack). The brackets that came with the poles had 1" (i think) wide aluminum, but the jet sled channels are too small, so I had to get 3/4" aluminum from the hardware store and used the original as templates for drilling holes.
