Gray squirrels eating acorns in the big black oak, cuttings raining down on the barn's tin roof. Autumnal, definitely autumnal.
Broke out the chiminea last night, and a bottle of red...it won't be long, now.

I miss it too! I sure hope Michigan has a winter this year. Last year was just pitiful. I had some great snowshoeing trips in 2010-2011, so I was just plain depressed when the snow didn't come this past winter.
Can't say on snowfall, but rumor is we should have a fairly cold winter this year. Texas and Florida may even get in on some of the action. At least, according to the lady over at Accuweather.com two years ago. Who'd of thunk that volcanoes would get a bunch of the blame?
Trust nobody!
