    Machinist Needed For Cinch Buckles

For some time now quite a few have expressed interest in finding the old triangle type Cinch Buckles like Warbonnet used to use.

Is this possibly an item that one of our machinist members could manufacture for a group buy?

FWIW, Warbonnet didn't manufacture them, so the supplier is still out there somewhere.

OnRope1 sells the same thing in 1 3/4" width. If they wouldn't stock the 1" version, they might be able to tell you where you to locate them.

Yea, I thought the same thing and called them. The fellow I talked to asked the owner and the response was that they couldn't get them in a smaller size.

Not the triangular version but this cinch accomplishes the same thing. Aesthetically not the same but functionally the same.

Problem with this one is using it with an Amsteel link which wants to slide into the corner. It can work if you make a link from a piece of webbing and then attach the Amsteel link to that.

Nah, all you have to do is make another turn or two with the cording. That fills out the width of the buckle so it doesn't slide.

Well how obvious is that! I might as well go back to bed and start over.
Sometimes all it takes is a different perspective. Thanks Angrysparrow.

Glad it helped. Probably easier than manufacturing buckles.

If someone wanted the other style purely for aesthetic reasons, Brandon might still know where to find them, assuming they're still made.

I would wager those are stamped not conventionally "machined". But it could probably be done with a mill and basic tooling however, I doubt it would be as strong. But I'm no expert.
