Similar to a blood or barrel shaped knot with inward coils(bkic). The bkic is strong, secure and relatively easy to untie. Just add a couple more inward coils and finish by tucking the working end between the green and blue lines but from opposite directions.

Simple Simon Under double is what I like. It's simple, secure, strong and easier to untie. Plus you can tie together line of different sizes and texture.

I like that idea TAK. Checking out the bkic knot. The SS is an interesting knot.

Here is a nice site I found with animation and step by step on knots.

I checked into the sheetbend and double and it's not recommended for my purpose, but the Zepplin Bend is mentioned.

photos of SimpleSimonUnder double and Blood Knot with inward coil

The Simple Simon under double has not been tightened down.

To untie the Blood Knot just pull the barrels from the center outwards.

The blood knot looks similar to the Triple Fisherman's
(just looked closer at knot) ok maybe not...pun intended.

    Good video on it:

So you recommend the blood knot moreso than the others koaloha?

you should use the blood if you ever want the ropes to come apart. i hav the fisherman in a rope and i think i'd hav to just cut on either side of the knot at this point to get them apart.

Yeah I really don't plan on taking ropes apart. I just want to permanently add length to the preexisting hammock line.
