    Question for Whoopie Hook users

So I am getting ready to convert my WBBB-Whoopie-soft shackle-tree strap set up over to Whoopie Hooks and a continuous loop.

The problem is - I can't for the life of me decide whether to put the hook on the adjustable end of the Whoopie or on the continuous loop that will be larks headed to the hammock.
I realize either set up will work well, I am just curious as to some of the benefits or drawbacks of each, from those that are using them.

I would think that having the hook on the end of the Whoopie would make it easier to find the end of the whoopie during set up and it would be nice to keep the hook out of the hammock bag and possibly tangling or catching on the hammock/tieouts/bugnet/ridgeline.
Having the hook on the hammock side might provide a little more flexibility for using multiple suspensions i.e. hooking to another fixed loop attached directly to the tree straps when the trees are too close together.

So what are your experiences HF - I am sitting here with cut amsteel ready to splice, I just can't decide where to put the hooks (and only have 1 pair so far)
    Thanks,
    jason

    - If you put the whoopie hook in the eye of the whoopie, it acts as a safety stopper, to prevent the whoopie loop from ever accidentally being pulled 'back into the splice'.
    - Per the above, to use the whoopie hook setup with multiple hammocks, you just need a continuous loop for each hammock.

On all of my Hammocks I have continuous loops on them and on my woopies my woopie hook is attached to the adjustable end. This allows me to use one suspension for all my hammocks. I also like the hook being attached to the adjustable end because this gives you some flexibility in which trees you use. If your strap is a little to short then the woopie will wrap around the front end of the tree. Also I like to store my suspension separately from my hammock. This prevents my hammock from wicking moisture form the wet tree straps if it were to rain as well as prevents any sap or nastyness that may be on my tree straps off my hammock. I also like being able to set up my tarp, wrap my tree straps around the tree and then deploy my hammock all underneath my tarp keeping me dry if it were raining. Just don't forget to take down your suspension system when you are packing up. Hope this helps.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

I put the continuous loop on the hammock and the whoopie hook on the whoopie sling.

That way I can put continuous loops on all my hammocks and only need one set of whoopies.

I want to do this same thing. I have made up some new whoops with hooks on the adjustable loop of the whoopie and the fixed loop to toggle at the straps. Right now, I have a cont loop in the channel and I larks the fixed loop of the whoop behind the gathered end, run the whoop through the protruding loop in the channel and then to the toggles. The part I do not understand is that if I make this one suspension for all my hammocks, what will keep my cont loop secured in the channel when the suspension is not attached? Do I need to make another set of loops to larks behind the gathered end and through the protruding ends of the loop in the channel? Do I even need to larks behind the gathered end? Can I just hook to the loop in the channel? Whatever the case - I can't figure out how to keep that loop in the channel if there is no suspension set and attached.

I like mine on the adjustable loop. Two reasons for me: Stopper for the adjustable part of the whoopie and because the hook is riding in a slightly different place each setup, so as to not constantly have the wear on one spot.
