    splicing lash-it

    i tried to search this couldn't find the answer i want. i want to use lash-it dor my ridgeline. i have spliced diygearsupply's 1.9 techline, is 1.75 lash-it much harder to splice than the techline?

    It is a bit harder to splice. However, as long as you make a taper, you should do fine. Without a taper, you'll wear the skin off your fingers trying to milk it.

    what he said. W/o the taper your fingers will end up looking like hamburger meat.

    I use a steel fishing leader, doubled over and then pinch the fold with pliers. I haven't found anything easier to splice it with, and it is still not an easy task. Or at least not as easy as a steel.
