Thanks for the heads up, just ordered a few, been looking for a few weeks trying to spend the rest of our dividend on something I would actually use.

Has anyone used/seen these? I'd pick one up, but I haven't heard anything about them and haven't seen much in the way of reviews (positive *or* negative). A few on Campmor seem positive... just thought I'd check.

That said, for $15, probably can't go wrong.

My local Acadamy has them on close out for $14.95.
Another place to check out, around here there there is more Acadamy's than REI's.

I know this is an old thread but I was thinking about getting a traveller lite as my first hammock and was curious how they worked out for you guys.

I have two hammocks -- I like my other one better (it is a double-wide), but for this price I have absolutely nothing major to complain about the traveller lite. Since this is your first hammock, it is a very easy and cheap way to get started... probably not really worth over-thinking, just buy it and get started hanging! Just know that if there is anything you dislike about it, there are definitely better options available.

As my 2nd, I've found this hammock serves multiple purposes (listed in order of the most to least common uses I've found):

=> wife hammock -- in case she tries to move in on my luxury camping, I can set her up in her own sling of happiness.
=> guest hammock -- many of my friends have had their first taste of hangin' in this hammock; most now own one (I'm a bit of a Hammock-evangelist).
=> gear hammock -- if you have an extra hammock at your camp, it serves as a great place to stash some gear.
=> beta testing -- there have been some mods I didn't want to risk on my main hammock, so I tried them on this one first.
=> backup hammock -- just in case something happens to my primary, I can always pack this one instead without waiting on shipping for a new one
=> overcompensation hammock -- if you need to overcompensate for something, you can set this hammock up somewhere next to your primary, and just marvel at the how much space you have at your fingertips. Not because you need it... but because you can.

So, even if you decide to upgrade later, you can keep this around and it will retain its value in your hammock lineup.
