Guys,
I'm going to pull the trigger on one of the Warbonnet Blackbirds and I'm wondering which material to get. What are the differences between the 1.1 and 1.7 material other than weight capacity? I'm 5' 9" and weight 185 if that matters. Thanks in advance for any advice.

1.7 would be more durable with a little less stretch. I'd go with a 1.7 both will hold you. comes down to preference mostly. but... if you are talking double layers, i would do a double 1.1 or a single 1.7
Are you hiking or car camping? Either would work fine if car camping. If mostly hiking, here is a way to reduce weight, go 1.1 single.
I love my 1.7 double, but I weight 220#, so it provides me some more load carrying capacity. You probably would love the 1.1 single, especially with your UQ.
