There's about 11 miles of free forest camping between Hwy 14 & Long Draw.

How about a bump to the top, and a call to weigh in with opinions on the different options we've been presented so far?

It looks like the Aspens are starting to turn fairly early this year, so if we'd like to get out into a nice Aspen grove before all the leaves are on the ground, we should start trying to nail down the time/location.

And plenty of warning for employers too... lol.

Wish I had more input on location, but I'm a total noob. Shorter the walk-in, the better IMO. That's all I got.

+1 on this! The last weekend of this month, or the first weekend of October would work really well for us...

Wish I lived closer. This should be a great group hang!

I don't know the unspoken rules of these things, either... how well do group hangs and dogs get along? We have two dogs that would be heartbroken if we went camping without them, lol. They're good dogs, friendly, quiet, voice-controlled. But we can leave them with my mother-in-law if need be.

I know we'll get poked fun of for being in a t**t, but we can handle it. XD Besides, fair pay-off for being able to make up my freaking mind about which hammock to go with, lol.

So... Let's get some possible dates going! I won't propose any because I'm not certain I can go, but I'm a definite maybe... Can we set up a poll?

Hey all, New to the forum and searched Colorado. I was up at Lost Park over Labor day on a three day hang in my first DIY Hammock. Had great weather. Coyotes were out the first night and the moon was full. Slept like a baby and much better than being on the ground. My son and I may be up for something of this nature. He is a first year Scout and I made him a hammock as well. We do not have UQ yet (maybe a wallmart bag with some bungee's) I am wrapping up a Winter Hex Tarp and plan to make two Asyms as well.
