    Texoma Cross Timbers 9-14 / 9-15

With the weather being so nice, I'm wanting to do some hiking/hanging. Highs are supposed to be in the low 80s I just thought I'd see if anyone is interested in doing some of the Cross Timbers Trail? If anyone wants to go, we can work out the details. Otherwise, I'll be going solo.

I was thinking the same thing, but have Rangers tickets on Saturday. Love Cross Timbers. May fit it in the next weekend. Hope you have fun.

Not a lack of interest... I looked at the calendar and the pattern is full.

I was starting to think I must have smelled bad or something!

    I know it's short notice.

Would love to hear your trip report or plans. it is 14 miles. I was wondering about a hike out end to end, start Saturday maybe 9 AM. Reach the end, turn around and hike back a mile or more (away from roads). Set up for the night. Then on Sunday, hike back to the car/truck and head home. Would something like that work?

rhjanes, That is pretty much what I had in mind. I was actually going to get out there Friday night and hike in just a little and camp, then do what you suggested. If you are thinking about going, I could meet up with you along the trail though.

I'd love stay at the peninsula (about 2 1/2 miles in?) but that's a pretty sweet spot and may be taken.

For what it's worth, I believe that this trail is one of the best I've been to in the area.
