I got her of amazon for 20 bucks. I call her the mock1. She's 90 by 156 inches and beautiful from head to toe and made of taffeta. I'm 270 and she supports me well but at almost a buck extra you should get 2 and whip them as 1. She's sexy with that incubator dress isn't she.

Looks like you could pick the ebay hammock up for about $15. If the seller turns out to be as bad as his ratings, you aren't out that much money and if you actually get the hammock, you'll learn a lot for not a lot of money. If he fails to deliver, then try the ENO doublenest.

Order a long, wide hammock (90"x132" or 90" x 156")from tablecloths.com and if you need some help, I am in Modoc, SC. about an hour from you. PM me and I will try to help.

Thanks, BajaHanger. I'm trolling Craigslist and The Carolina Trader as we speak for a good deal on a "thread injector" (still feel like an idiot for not figuring that one out on my own) and I'll be absolutely going the tablecloth route.

    Ok, that's just funny. Thanks.

Check yard sales, I got two at a yard sale for $25, and they work great.

    Hey Gresh,

welcome to the big guy club. While i'm not as svelte, i am almost 300. I'm also going the DIY route as well as ordering a couple.....(will disclose those when they arrive)

I ordered the tablecloth as well as some ripstop, my budget isn't so tight. My plan is to make one double layer and one signle layer and try them out. Also order some parts to make myself a hammock stand since my backyard only has one tree.

Let us know how it progresses. I would like to compare notes as we both build these.

By the time I'm done, I should have 5 hammocks to try. While I doubt any one person, other then Shug, could use 5.....

*Jumps on Soapbox* It is my mission in life to convince my family of 5 that "Dad" no longer wants to carry the 6-man tent and that each member of the family will carry their own hammock and we shall all swing from the trees like the monkeys we truely are.

Hmm i should make that my signature

Keep working and one day you'll reach Svelte level: GRESH.

In the meantime, what are you doing as far as DIY patterns? I'm curious.
